Intercede Ltd. provides a number of products and services for identity management purposes (collectively referred to as the "Services"). By purchasing and/or using any of these Services, you agree to the terms of the following Privacy Policy.

Protection of your personal data is very important to us, and we follow reasonable industry standards to ensure the proper treatment of personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws as amended from time to time. This Privacy Policy will explain to you how and for what purposes we collect, use, retain, disclose, and safeguard the information you provide to us.

Personal Data

Personal data refers to any data (whether by itself or when linked with other information in the possession of, or likely to come into our possession) that can be used to identify a specific living person. Personal data does not include information that has been aggregated or made anonymous such that it can no longer be reasonably associated with a specific person.

Application of this Policy

This Policy applies to all Services that we offer. This Policy does NOT apply to any website, product or service of any third-party, even if the website links to (or from) our website. We suggest that you review the privacy practices of any third-party who may be handling your personal data before deciding whether to provide personal information. We are not responsible in any way for third-party sites or the collection or protection of your personal information on those sites.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

We collect personal data from our service providers (which include application developers working on their behalf) when you provide it directly to us by interacting with our Services, but we will only collect personal information that is necessary for us to provide the Services to you. We do NOT collect personal data from our service providers' end customers. (With the exception of the customers' IP address which is currently included in audit logs)

To gain full access to some of our Services, you will be required to register for an Intercede credentialed account. At the time of registration, we may collect various necessary personal data such as your name, company name, geographical location, email address, and/or telephone number. When you are using our Services, we may collect and/or maintain information regarding your activities. Any personal data collected will be shared and disclosed as described below (Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Data). If you provide personal data to us via use of the Services, for example to create end user authentication certificates, you consent to our collection and use of personal data as described in this Privacy Policy, and we will not be liable for any damages that result from your failure to anonymize provided data.

If you provide personal information from third parties, you are responsible for obtaining the appropriate and necessary consents for provision of such information to us. As a result, we disclaim all liability for claims brought by a data subject arising from any action or omission by us to the extent that such action or omission resulted from your failure by you to obtain necessary consents from your customers as required by law.

Cookies and Web Server Logs

"Cookies" are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a website. Cookies can remember what information a computer accessed on one web page to streamline activities on related web pages and to make the online experience easier and more personalized. Log files are used to monitor, measure, analyze, improve, and troubleshoot our Services.

Sharing and Disclosure of your Personal Data

Retention of your Personal Data

Any personal data that we collect will not be retained for longer than is necessary for the purpose or purposes for which it was collected. If you are a corporate purchaser where users are registered by a company administrator, it is your obligation to notify the Company when users are no longer active with the service. Upon use of our service, you agree to indemnify the Company for any loss, damage, claims or other actions resulting from retention of information belonging to users whose have become inactive with the service.

Protection of Personal Data

Although no data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, we follow reasonable industry standards to ensure that the personal data the Company collects, uses, or discloses is accurate, complete, up-to-date, and relevant and stored securely where possible, and to ensure that the personal data we hold is protected from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure by the use of various industry-standard methods including but not limited to access limitations, Secure Socket Layer encryption technology, data encryption, firewalls, and physical access controls to building structures and files.

We maintain strict administrative, technical and physical procedures to protect information stored on our servers, which are located in the United Kingdom, United States of America, and Europe. Access to information is limited through various industry-standard measures to those employees for whom such access is necessary to perform their job functions.

Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason without notice. We may provide notice of such changes or any other communications or disclosures regarding this Privacy Policy by posting on our website. Such notice shall be considered to be received by you no later than twenty-four (24) hours after posting.

We want to make sure that your personal data is accurate and up to date. You have the right to request a copy of all personal data held by us at any time or to correct or remove personal data that you believe is inaccurate. This request should be made in writing to the email address above and a small charge may be made for this service.
